While driving through Vallejo down Springs Road we looked on Google, came across Combo Express. Great reviews. We purchased: Combination Fried rice, Fried porkchops, Fried Fish, HUGE Eggrolls. We found everything to be fresh, and delicious. And we not forget...the service was professional and kind. We will SPREAD the word! DELICIOUS ”

“ Again, this is the best Chinese takeout place ever. Combo plates are unbeatable in size and price. Flavors are consistent for over two decades that I've had the food - orange chicken, barbecue chicken, crispy chicken, chow mein, fried rice, beef broccoli. Although the crispy chicken can sometimes be too salty. Everything I've had is good. I miss the fried crispy anchovies. I hope this place stays open forever. ”

“ Unassuming place , not a place to of you want to sit and eat , however their niche is their take out . Food is decent. Not great but enough to feed 2 or three persons depending on your portion how how much one can eat . Friend vegetables spring roll is good and their potstickers , i like their eggplant with tofu and some of their veggie dish that you can order ala carte . Overall value for your money is there but taste wise okay not great . ”

“ What a pleasant surprise from this hole in the wall spot! This is probably the best Chinese takeout what I've found in Vallejo so far! The Yelp reviews did not disappoint. It is located in the same plaza as Island Pacific and Bank of America. On a weekend around 5pm the line was growing to almost out the door when I went in. Service was very quick and friendly. I ordered the family meal that feeds 2-3 and the beef wonton soup. It was enough food for four people (more specifically two people for two meals). For the combos I got both the chow mein and the fried rice, the potstickers, the spicy salty chicken, and the broccoli beef. Everything was good! They're best known for the spicy salty chicken. IMO it was a lot like popcorn chicken. It wasn't spicy to me. It was more salty and any heat came from the pepper. I really liked the beef wonton soup. They did not skimp on the beef. It was very tender and great on a winter day. Great value and even better taste. This will probably be our go to for Chinese take out going forward! ”

“ I am not exaggerating when I say this is my all-time favorite Chinese takeout restaurant! I grew up eating here, and I'm thrilled that nothing has drastically changed over the years. I'm still so happy to see a line of customers waiting to be served every time I visit--it's proof they're still thriving after all this time! For cheap, tasty food with large serving sizes, Combo Express is the place to go. My go-to combo is half fried rice, half chow mein, salt and pepper chicken, and barbecue chicken. The barbecue chicken is a classic, but the salt and pepper chicken is my absolute favorite. I could snack on it like popcorn chicken from boba shops, but paired with the fried rice? Absolutely delicious! I've also tried other dishes like the beef and broccoli, and everything is consistently great. During holiday celebrations, I often order their party platters--they're very affordable and come in generous portions. I genuinely love this place and always recommend it to people around me. It's well-deserving of a 5-star rating from me! ”

“ I go here for one dish - the spicy salt chicken. It's a takeout and catering kind of place. Staff is efficient. I think the chicken is just great, and I make a point of getting it when I'm in the Vallejo area. I had a couple other things there that I thought were OK at best, but the chicken is really good. I make a point of stopping here whenever I pass through Vallejo. I have friends who grew up in Vallejo request their friends who still live there bring a tray of combo express chicken for parties. I expect to keep coming back ”

“ Combo Express is located in the Springstowne Shopping Center. My co-worker has purchased food here to bring to our work potlucks, so I am familiar with some of their dishes. They are know for their Spicy Salt and Pepper Chicken. I ordered the Spicy Salt and Pepper Chicken, Tofu with Eggplant, Chicken with String Beans, Chow Mein and Pot Stickers. Everything was very tasty, but the hit with my family was the Spicy Salt and Pepper Chicken. They do not have any seating to eat in as they are strictly take out only.They do a lot of party trays, so call in ahead of time to order for your next party or potluck. ”

“ My family and I have been going to combo express for more than 10 years now and we've always had a 5 star experience. This place is a fast food restaurant with no dining in. There are no tables to sit down in. The workers are quick and efficient because the place usually has a line, but it goes by pretty quick. Some of my favorite dishes to order are the chow mein and fried rice, crispy chicken, orange chicken, barbeque chicken, and wonton soup. The chow mein and fried rice are taste a little bland compared to other Chinese restaurants like, but when you pair it with the different flavorful sides, you don't notice it. For $10, you can get a combo plate with an entree and two sides. The workers always fill up my plate so it usually lasts me 2-3 meals. ”
